Vittoriosa

One of Malta's Three Cities, founded by the Normans in the 11th century, offering breath-taking views of Valetta. It's an architectural treasure-trove, with atmospheric alleyways and medieval palazzos including Inquisitor's Palace.

Blue Grotto

Considered one of Malta's premier natural attractions, the Blue Grotto was formed naturally by wind and waves to create a large overhang supported by a natural pedestal of rock. The water here is calm, crystal clear and brilliantly azure.

Mosta Rotunda

This church harks back to the architectural style of the Classical era, but its more recent history adds frisson to your visit. The scale of its dome, the fourth largest in Europe, is mesmerizing and features the statues of six saints.

St. Paul's Cathedral

Although baroque in style, this 11th century cathedral is the restrained mode of the Vatican. It stands on the traditional site of the Roman Governer Publius. Its museum houses one of the richest collection of religious art and treasures in Europe.

Barrakka Gardens

The private gardens of the Italian Auberge from 1661, the greenery now offers a shady place for visitors to come and relax with superb views across Grand Harbour. A gun is fired everyday from the Gun Saluting Battery below the terrace at noon.

Valetta Grand Harbour

Malta's most emblematic panorama is the vista across Grand Harbour. Made all the better by the magnificent architecture along its shores and the feats of military night, this is one view in Malta that you simply cannot miss.
