Bath City Breaks

Bath View breaks >>

Ideal for a weekend or short break, Bath is Britain’s most elegant and most complete Georgian city and home to the country’s only hot springs - the Roman Baths. The city is built from eye-pleasing, honey-coloured limestone with many celebrated architectural pieces, most interestingly the Royal Crescent, and has a striking setting amid seven hills where the Cotswolds meet the Mendip Hills on the banks of the River Avon, the Kennet and the Avon Canal. The hills can make walking tiring, but you are compensated by the wonderful views.

With more than 20 museums, like the Fashion Museum and Assembly Rooms or the Building of Bath Museum, and historic sites, notably Bath Abbey, a large choice of restaurants and plenty of specialist shops – including a daily antique market in Barlett Street – there is definitely something for everyone. In between sightseeing, you can take in vibrant streetlife from any number of cafes, enjoy street entertainers, or take afternoon tea in the celebrated Bath institution of the Pump Room.
