Glasgow sits to the west of Scotland, where the weather is highly unpredictable and can change within moments. Unfortunately predicting the weather is a difficult task as literally one moment the sun can be shining and before you know it you could be caught in a downpour.
The west coast receives far more rain than its relatives to the east but they do benefit from milder winters, due in part to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. However, even in the driest months during high season, there always a strong chance of rain.
The high season is marked from May through to September (with highs of around 19°C), with the best weather being experienced during these summer months, and visitors like to take advantage of the long hours of daylight with the later setting sun during June and July.
