The weather in this area of northern France is slightly cooler than other areas of the country; in fact it is often similar to that of southern England though just slightly warmer. Temperatures tend to drop in the evening once the sun goes down. Winters are reasonably mild but the best times to visit are in July and August when the waters get warmer and the temperatures can reach into the 20’s.
One thing to be aware of is that the weather is unpredictable and can change at any time, so no matter when you visit you should prepare yourself with a warm jumper and an umbrella.
